Meet the Speaker

Dave Pierson
Senior Design Engineer
MAGNET

Dave is a Senior Design Engineer for MAGNET and a notable figure in the advanced manufacturing community. He has 21 years of varied and practical additive manufacturing training experience as well as 40 years of experience in mechanical and electric engineering and programming. Dave regularly develops and delivers training curriculum and trains operators, students, and engineers on past and present additive techniques. His experience covers seven AM standards categories as set by the American Society for Testing and Materials.

In addition to his work at MAGNET, Pierson teaches courses on engineering and additive manufacturing at Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College. He has also worked as a data engineer for Porsche, where he helped develop and set up race vehicles. He has earned additive manufacturing training certificates from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
